The Dipperlog Smart system is extremely useful tool for projects where multiple individuals or parts of a company require access to the same data. Whether this is a dewatering, construction or modelling project having instant access to data allows for successful remote monitoring

There are 4 basic elements to a complete system -

SENSOR– Measures water depth and temperature, connected via a cable
NODE– collects data from the sensor and sends wirelessly
GATEWAY– to collected the data from each node, communicates with a tablet
TABLET – communicates with the gateway, can collect data locally or upload to the cloud

Expand your system:

REPEATER – relays data from the NODES which are outside transmission range
PC Communication Cable and Software – for communication direct to the logger

SENSOR: Measures water depth and temperature

The Dipperlog data logger is attached directly to each NODE by a direct read cable, this allows for easy data transfer from the NODE to the GATEWAY. The Dipperlog can also be configured to collect and store data internally, providing data redundancy.

NODE:   Water Depth & Temperature

The water depth sensor measures hydrostatic water level (depth) and temperature and is available in ranges from 10m to 120m. Each node has a built-in barometer which automatically compensates for barometric pressure influences.

GATEWAY: data coordinator

The gateway is the network Coordinator and is the location where pressure and temperature information is gathered before data is sent via Bluetooth so it can be viewed on a tablet  The gateway is not internally powered, therefore needs to be connected directly to a power source. The device does feature a backup battery, which will provide power to the unit for approx. 5 days if there is a there is a power supply issue.

TABLET:

This device is offered with “Sugarheld” software installed and configured for your network. Information from the gateway is collected directly to your tablet, where information can be viewed. If you wish to access the data from the tablet in a remote location your tablet you will need a Wi-Fi or cell connection to send the data to the cloud platform. The cloud platform can also be set up to notify you of any alarm conditions being met.

REPEATER: relay for data transfer

The Repeater is a relay device for data transfer when nodes on the network are outside transmission range. This device will allow information from the nodes to be transmitted back to the gateway

Both node and repeater devices are weather proof featuring heavy duty casing and seals for outdoor deployment. When used together these devices create the “spidermesh”, stand-alone data transfer network whose size is defined only by the number of units deployed with an unlimited capacity.
